Schedule an Email

Scenario: I am trying to schedule an email to be sent to a user "3 Months After Activated" and I'm getting this error message:

Sorry, we need you to correct or complete more information. Please see the sections marked below.
We're sorry, but 'after' cannot be used with the 'Activated' event.

When you schedule an email here:
http://www.mysite.org/kmembers/admin/super/manage_email_schedule/manageAction?action=add

The email can be sent out exactly when the event occurs, or some specified period of time before or after the event. Before or after timeframes are only applicable for a few events, so the most common setting is Exactly When. For example, Before is only supported for email about memberships changing into the expired or archived states and is used to send membership renewal reminders.

In the case above, Activated is only available as an "Exactly When" option because a user can be repeatedly activated and deactivated. Alternatives that may meet your needs:

  • 3 months after Added (to contact brand new users)
  • 3 months after the membership goes current (to contact people who have just joined or renewed)
Note: You must have Super Admin privileges on the site to manage scheduled email.
