Email delivery error message: fatal: message already has a Mailing-List header

I see this error message in the mail logs, what does it mean?:

fatal: message already has a Mailing-List header (maybe I should be a sublist) (#5.7.2)

This error most commonly occurs when someone tries re-sending a message received from a mailing list. The email process won't accept a message if it already has a Mailing-List header (unless the list is a sublist, as the error message suggests).

If this error occurs, create a new email message, paste in only the relevant info, and then try to send to the list.

If you still encounter problems, please let Kavi Support know and we will investigate to make sure the list is functioning properly. Other things can generate the same error message (ie, corrupt file or list configuration), but these occur infrequently.
