Scenario: You are an account holder but you are not able to send email to a mailing list, even though the sending email address appears to match your primary email address.
Check the failure message in the email bounce message. Does it look similar to this?:
<listname@mysite.org>:
Sorry, only organization members may post. If you are an organization
member, please forward this message to admin@mysite.org to get
your new address included (#5.7.2)

Return-Path: <prvs=1336e682af=user@example.com>
We have encountered this issue occasionally. The problem is the random number attached to the email address Return-Path. It is a variety of something called BATV that your company is using.
BATV is an email scheme that uses PRVS or Simple Private Signature which is injected into the mail address to verify the identity of the sender. Note the return path in your email address:
> Return-Path: <prvs=1336e682af=user@example.com>
Our mailing list software does not support this variance in e-mail addresses and rejects messages using BATV headers.
If you wish to post email to a mailing list you will need to post from a single non-varying email address associated with your user account.
