If you have the proper privileges, you can configure which columns display for folders in the document repository on a per-folder basis. The display order and available columns are:

Organization administrators can configure a default display for the organization (all groups) and a default for individual groups. Group Chairs and Document Managers can also set folder columns on a per-folder basis.
The default behavior is for folders to inherit the settings of the group and the group to inherit the settings of the organization, i.e. Org setting -> Group setting -> Individual folder.
To configure the default for the organization, go to Administration > Configuration > Groups > Manage Group Settings. [mysite.org/apps/org/workgroup/admin/settings_groups.php]
To configure the group default, go to Administration > Admin Panel > Groups > Manage Existing Group > Modify. [mysite.org/apps/org/workgroup/admin/workgroups.php]
To configure the folder setting, go to the Action menu for the folder and select Manage Folder.
